The Wonderful Walls of Walt Disney World

For those as obsessed with Walt Disney World as myself, Disney walls are old news. But for those not as crazy as me you may have no idea what I mean. Or you just think I’ve lost my mind to be writing a post about walls. You might be right! haha… anyway…

Walt Disney World is one of the most Instagrammable (is “instagrammable” supposed to have one “m” or two?) vacations you could take. Everyone knows about the classic photo spots such as in front of Cinderella’s Caste in the Magic Kingdom or Spaceship Earth at EPCOT (going all caps now because of the D23 announcement showing the new logo in all caps!) but did you know that some of the most popular photo spots for those in the know are in front of walls? And did you also know that these walls have become so famous that you can tag them as your location on Instagram? And that Disney even created merchandise and food items based on some of them?

Yup. People take their Disney Walls very seriously, and in some cases, with good reason! Need a great spot to get a picture of your cute Disney parks outfit? How about a coordinating wall without a bunch of other tourists finding their way into your photo! Need a place to take a picture of that super cute cupcake you just bought in the bakery where it won’t get lost in the crowd?

Disney walls might be your answer and this post is going to show you some of my favorites and tell you where to find them on your next Walt Disney World vacation!

Magic Kingdom Walls

I think it’s only fair to start with the wall that started them all:

The Purple Wall

This wall can be found in the Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland near Monster’s Inc Laugh Floor. It has changed a little since its first claim to fame with the cute geometric pattern being a more recent addition, but it is a change for the better, in my personal opinion.

The Candy Stripe Wall

This cute wall can be found in the Main Street Confectionery on Main Street USA in the Magic Kingdom. Just be careful… It’s hard to go in here and leave without buying something sweet!

Carousel of Progress Wall

The name of this wall makes its location pretty obvious, but just in case it isn’t, this one can be found outside of the Carousel of Progress in Magic Kingdom’s Tomorrowland. While you’re there make sure to head inside to visit John, Sarah, and the rest of the family as they prepare for another Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow!

The Neverland Wall

This super cute wall can be found outside of Peter Pan’s flight in Fantasyland. If you’re near this wall keep an eye out, Peter Pan himself has been known to hang out in the area!

The Tangled Wall(s)

How sweet is @partofemsworld ?🌸☀️💜 I love this photo!

The Tangled Restrooms in the Magic Kingdom are beautifully decorated inside and out; So much so that there is actually some debate about which wall people are referring to when they mention the “Tangled Wall”. I personally consider the wall pictured above the Tangled Wall, mostly because I feel like taking pictures inside of a bathroom (even if it is only BARELY inside of the bathroom) is a bit strange, even if the walls are beautiful.

The Pill Wall

Back over in Tomorrowland you can find the Pill Wall by the People Mover (a favorite attraction of mine, by the way.)

The Loving Wives Wall

I don’t know if this spooky wall has a name, but it’s one of my personal favorites. This wall outside of the Haunted Mansion is actually a tomb for the loving wives of Bluebeard. Six of them were faithful but the last one did him in.

The Mausoleum Wall

I’m making the name up for this one too, it could be called something totally different “officially” but I’m not sure what. This wall can also be found outside of The Haunted Mansion in Liberty Square and serves as the final resting place for the likes of Paul Tergyst, I Emma Spook, Bea Witch, and other punny characters .

EPCOT Walls

In my opinion, some of the most stunning photo opportunities in all of Walt Disney World can be found in EPCOT (granted I’m not talking about walls when saying this but still…) and EPCOT is home to a few often Instagrammed walls as well. Let’s take a look!

The Bubblegum Wall

you know we love a good wall pic so obviously these bubblegum wall ears are ✨everything✨ link in bio to peep all the new epcot ears!

So I’m a little concerned this wall may not be around too much longer with the upcoming massive EPCOT overhaul, but until it is gone for good, the Bubble Gum Wall can be found outside of Spaceship Earth in Future World (soon to be World Celebration).

The Galaxy Wall

The Galaxy Wall can be found near the old Universe of Energy where the Guardian’s of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind roller coaster is being constructed. It’s actually just a temporary construction wall that was put up to block people from being able to view the work being done on the new attraction. If this is a must see on your Disney Walls bucket list you need to be getting to EPCOT soon, because Cosmic Rewind is set to open in 2021.

The Rose Gold Wall

Disney was all about the rose gold trend a few years ago, creating ears, backpacks, CUPCAKES and so much more in the color so it shouldn’t surprise anyone that in EPCOT you can even find a Rose Gold Wall. This one can be found near Mission Space.

The Mosaic Wall

This one is one of my favorites. This beautiful mosaic wall can be found outside of The Land pavilion, which I love. I wish I could be riding Living With The Land right now!

The Toothpaste Wall

The name of this one is just so entertaining to me. Who decided that was what it should be called? Anyway, the Toothpaste Wall can be found outside of The Seas with Nemo and Friends.

The Mayan Wall

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. EPCOT has some of the best photo opportunities and the Mayan Wall outside of the Mexico Pavilion is one of them.

The Morocco Wall

If I’m being entirely honest, this one feels a little bit like a cheat for me since I have always considered this less of a wall and more of a structure; but, if the internet counts it, so can I! This “wall” can be found in the Morocco pavilion, which is my favorite of the EPCOT World Showcase pavilions.

The Fish Wall

I was struggling to find pictures of the fish wall from the China pavilion on Instagram so you get this picture of me being totally weird instead! I must not know the proper name for this wall because I can’t believe no one has posted pictures in front of it before. Help me out guys, what is it called?

Hollywood Studios

Hollywood Studios may not be one of my favorite Disney Parks, but they are doing a lot to try to change my mind! With the addition on Toy Story Land, new photo opportunities emerged, including what I think might be the best Disney Wall of the bunch. And I’m sure as people have more time in Galaxy’s Edge we’ll be seeing even more Disney Walls getting attention soon.

The Popsicle Wall

This one is my favorite! Holy smokes you guys how cute is this wall made to look like it was built out of used Popsicle sticks? You can find this one in Toy Story Land outside of Midway Mania.

The Checkers Wall

When everyone else is playing life like a game of chess or checkers…dance like no one’s watching. Because in your game, you don’t need to compete or compare yourself to others. You don’t need to strategize against another player. You don’t need to hop over opponents to get to the finish line. You can start a dance party, and everyone is invited. There’s enough success for everyone in this world, so go out and start your own game. And make it a cooperative one. . . . . . #inspiration #plussizestyle #disneybounding #disneywalls #checkerswall #toystoryland #disneygrammers #creaturesoftheparks #chicagogrammers #iadorewhatiwore #disneystyle #sorcerermickey #positivevibes #goodvibes #dance #joy #success #findjoy #instafam #instainspo #inspo #happy #disney #disnerd #wednesdaywisdom #wisdom #beyourself #pluspositive #curvystyle #plussizeblogger

Also outside of the exit of Midway Mania in Toy Story Land is the Checkers wall! I love Toy Story Land you guys. It’s so cute!

The Block Wall

Can you guys guess where this cute Block Wall can be found? I’ll give you a hint… IT’S SO CUTE! Yup, Toy Story Land again. If Disney was designing this land with social media in mind they seriously nailed it.

The Launch Bay Wall

Before Galaxy’s Edge opened the Star Wars themed wall to take a photo in front of was the Launch Bay wall. It’s still there if you want your chance to be pictured in front of it.

Galaxy’s Edge Wall

Galaxy’s Edge just opened a few days ago, and already we are seeing wall photos popping up! I don’t know if this particular wall has a unique name yet, but for now I’ll just call it “Galaxy’s Edge Wall”.

The Splatter Wall

I really need to be better about learning the names of things! Anyway this super adorable photo spot is in the Muppet’s Courtyard!

Animal Kingdom

We’re getting there guys! Last theme park then I move on to resorts (because yup, great walls at the hotels too!) I had said before that EPCOT was my favorite for finding great photo opportunities but now that I’m thinking about it, Animal Kingdom is pretty great too. What do you guys think? What park has the best photo opportunities?

Not every picture turns out as perfectly posed as I imagined it 🤷🏻‍♀️ but he always makes me feel beautiful (even when he squeezes my cheeks and baby talks to me 😂) Who’s your go to park buddy? I can’t imagine ever going with my fiancé! ✨ • • • • • #Waltdisneyworld #disneyworld #disney #wdw #disneystyle #styledbymagic #disneyoutfit #instadisney #disneygram #disneyinsta #disneylife #disneyparks #disneylove #disneymagic #mouselife #disneyfashion #disneyprincess #disneyphotography #animalkingdom #animalkingdomwalls #dak #youaremostbeautiful #youaremostbeautifulwall #wallsofdisney #disneywalls #harambemarket #disneyig

Inside of Harambe Market you can find this wall reminding all of us that we are beautiful.

The Moss Wall

When Pandora opened in Animal Kingdom I think everyone was a little blown away by how stunning the land was. It didn’t take long for people to find the perfect Instagram wall either.

The Fichwa Fellow Wall

This wall can also be found in Harambe Market. I should probably do a whole post about Hidden Mickeys at some point, but here is one for you right now! Did you know that “fichwa” in Swahili actually means “hidden”? That means this fellow is a true hidden Mickey. He is even labeled as such!

The Children of the World Wall

Another fantastic Instagram wall brought to you by Harambe Market. There are a ton of great photo opportunities in this area!

The Coca-Cola Wall

biking my way home from asia, wish me luck! 🚲🌏

A post shared by laurenzylyk (@laurenzylyk) on

This wall can be found in Asia on the side of Drinkwallah. Coca-Cola and Disney parks have had a long running partnership and this mural is just more proof of that.

The Dino Wall

Not everyone loves Dinoland as much as I do, but that is where you can find this cute wall along with plenty of other photo opportunities.

Resort Hotels

Now that we’ve made it through the parks it is time to pop on over to the Walt Disney World Resort hotels. I’m not going to give each resort its own category, but I’ll note what resort the wall can be found in next to the wall name (or my guess at the wall’s name).

The Neon Mickey Wall – Contemporary Resort

This wall is visually striking and a great photo opportunity, but it’s also pretty small and almost more of a neon Mickey window. With some creative cropping though it makes for a fantastic backdrop.

The Flower Power Wall – Pop Century Resort

Pop Century always makes me want to start integrating words like “groovy” and “radical” into my vocabulary so here goes… find this groovy wall as you wander among the giant icons of the past at Disney’s Pop Century resort.

The Cotton Candy Wall – Art of Animation Resort

I will be honest in saying I’m not entirely sure why they went with cotton candy as the namesake for this wall since I think clouds first BUT this one is known officially as the Cotton Candy Wall and can be found at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort.

The Jellyrolls Wall – Boardwalk Resort

I went to Jellyrolls a lot when I was on my Disney College Program but I had no idea this cute wall was there (or was it? Has it always been stripey like this?) but to be fair it was always night time and dark when I went. Ah well, someday I will be able to get a picture in front of this cute blue and white striped wall before heading in for a night of dueling pianos.

The Lantern Wall – Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs Resort

The Lantern Wall when you first enter the lobby of the new Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is just one of MANY gorgeous photo opportunities in this new addition to the moderate priced resort.

The Toledo Wall – Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs Resort

If you are stopping into the Toledo restaurant in Gran Destino Tower make sure you get a photo in front of this stunning wall before grabbing a bite or a drink.

I think that is everything! That last wall I will mention is the wall from the featured image of this post. That bright fun wall is from the Lego Store in Disney Springs.

I’m sure there are a ton of great walls I missed on property, and I know I got several names wrong, but this post was getting long and out of hand, haha. I think most people just pick 5-10 and stop after that but before I knew it I had far more walls mentioned.

What are some of your favorite walls at Disney World? I would love to hear your thoughts!

My name is Mindy and I am what some might call “obsessed” with all things Disney. I’m a childless millennial and a fan of soft pretzels 😉 make of that what you will…
